Molecule, Sector - 29, Gurgaon
Having covered a lot of brewery in Sector-29, Gurgaon, I can surely say that Molecule is one of the good ones. As the name hints, you can expect pretty lighting with Molecules structure ceiling, a huge bar counter with their own brewery and a huge space spread across 2 floors - one with inside sitting and one with a rooftop. If you're a cricket/football fan then this place has got you covered with big projector screens. Neon lights and hip captions light up the place very beautifully.
We went at a time where we could capture the beauty of this place at natural light and the fancy lights that made the place more magical. I think after building all the hype you must be wondering how the food was. Otherwise it’s just a waste of time right? Well, here you go.
We
started off with some Drinks –
We
tried these 4 Mocktails - Caribbean tall, Toasted Coconut, Tom yum Mist, Delhi
Summer. If you don’t drink cocktails or alcohol then you may be limited to just
these mocktails. And none of them were very much appealing in taste.
Diving
right into the Starters section now -
Golgappa shots – This is the first time I have had golgappa shots with test tubes and syringes. (Chemistry touch obviously) And I loved it.
Edible Lava Coal – Dahi ke sholay decorated with charcoal like coating. Very soft and yummy.
Chole
Bhature Inside Out – Looked more like kachori to be honest. But
these small balls stuffed with chole were too good. Mint chutney was missing in
action.
Air bread non veg – This was the least appealing of all the started, but one of the best ones. Air breads were stuffed with cheese sauce and topped with chicken pieces. It was heavenly.
Mutton seekh Fried Momos – I loved how it was presented nicely in a decorative plate. 4 pieces with spicy chutney. You have my heart with this one.
Bhopali
Bun Kebab – If you are a fan of the famous galaouti kebabs
then you’re gonna love it too. Small kebabs stuffed in Cute little buns and
covered with mint sauce and onions. The taste was decent.
Manchurian
Pav – I was actually surprised to see Manchurian
stuffed inside a pav and a Manchurian on top as well. It was delicious.
Chicken
Popsicles – I was expecting softer and juicer chicken in
the popsicles. But you can’t go perfect with all the dishes.
Chicken
Tikka Duet – This was the spiciest dish of all. Served with
mint sauce, the chicken tikka was scrumptious.
Although
we were very much full with the Starters, we decided to order some Main Course –
Mix
Sauce Pasta – Pasta and garlic bread are an all time hit.
And mix sauce pasta never disappoints.
Chicken Biryani – The quantity was rather less than expected but the taste was too good. It was served along with Raita and chutney.
Kadhai
Paneer – Raw texture of capsicum, onion wasn’t pleasing
at all. Gravy wasn’t thick enough and it made the dish very dry. Very
disappointed.
Dal
Makhani – You can’t go wrong with Dal Makhni. I have
tried this at almost all the restaurants and food joints and only a few manage
to ruin the taste of this beauty. So this tasted just delectable.
After
a heavenly time with all the food, it was time to balance it with some Dessert –
Baked
Rasgulla – Looked more like Rasmalai but tasted like warm
rasgulla only. Satisfied with the dessert.
Overall –
Here comes the final Verdict for you guys. If you want to try some Fusion food and enjoy IPL matches with some drinks in Sector 29 then this can be your next pick.
