Romeo Lane - Juliet is missing.

 Romeo Lane - Valentine's Special

As the name suggests, it's a romantic restaurant. But, it's not exclusively for the couples as the sitting space is divided into a cosy dim-lit indoor sitting and a beautifully furnished and decorated outdoor sitting. The outlet is just outside the Civil Lines metro station (if you're avoiding the Delhi traffic). Considering that we went in the winters, outdoor was our preferred choice plus natural lighting for photos.

The seating capacity is pretty decent easily covering a big party or small get together. The ambiance inside and outdoor are completely contrasting, both in a good way. The music selection was pretty good which can easily make you groove while you're waiting for the food to arrive. The staff was very unprofessional and untrained. They didn't even bother to offer us a menu or a simple glass of water on their own. Also, we faced a few hiccups with our orders. The prices on the menu were on the higher end if compared to other nearby restaurants or cafes. The service was rather quick considering the footfall of the place.

Now enough with the suspense, let's dig in to find out how the food and drinks were -

Drinks (Non Alcoholic Beverages) -

Belgian Oreo Shake - I'm a big Oreo shake fan. And i expected the shake to have a thick texture to feel the richness of the oreos. Sadly that was missing, but the shake was pretty average in taste.

Mango & Cheesecake Shake - This one was recommended by the staff. And Boy! We were disappointed. Maybe not suited to our taste buds. But if you like mangoes and cheesecake then maybe you can try this (at your own risk).

Hazel & Cookie Shake - After having 2 shakes, i didn't have high expectations from this one. And it tasted like your regular cookie shake. Thick texture was again missing.

Berry Blast Smoothie - We thought of giving smoothie a shot and this one tasted just fine. No experiments, just a good berry smoothie.

Drinks section was a big disappointment. Can the Starters make up for it? Let's see -

Layla Majnu Platter - Kasundi Paneer tikka, Hyderabadi Subz Seekh, Baby Olive naan, salad and mint chutney. Platter overloaded with all the delicious dishes.

Drums of Heaven - If you love chicken, then this can be a good option. Soft, crispy drums of heaven.

Tex Mex Cheesy Fries - This is how a lovely fries plate should look like. Overloaded with Mayo, Salsa sauce, Melted cheese, olives and crispy fries. Highlight of the day.

Well, Starters saved the day. Although I'm almost full now, but let's check the Main Course -

Punjabi Dal Makhani with Cheese Kulcha - How can you go anywhere and not try the Punjabi Dal Makhani? The flavor was absolutely scrumptious. And cheese kulcha complimented it well. YOU HAVE TO TRY IT.

Main Course was heavenly and overloaded. But Desserts have a separate space in the stomach, right? So let's try it fast -

Choco fudge caramel Brownie with Vanilla Icecream - I love brownies, so had high expectations. But this one was gooey and definitely not worth the price.

Shahi Halwa Tart - Moong Dalwa is an all time favorite. Thankfully, this one was delicious and served on a tart. Loved it.

Overall - If you want to try a new romantic restaurant/cafe then this can be considered.

Ambiance - 4/5

Service - 2/5

Food - 3.5/5

Overall - 3.5/5
