Local Noida

Image
Lo-kal chale ya parso? Summers are here, and we are all set to review yet another cool outlet in Noida. If you have been to GIP, DLF Mall, WOW, then this may not be a new place for you to explore. After you have entered Garden Galleria Mall parking then you can easily spot Local in front of you. One big advantage is the big parking, and the placement of the outlet. We have a lot of good food options to try here, but this one sets apart in its own unique way.   The property is huge in space and covers all kind of gatherings you can plan with friends, family, colleagues, or even a Date. The bar is in the center of the space and the seating is spread across ground and first floor. The ambience is very picturesque and lighting is visually appealing. I went in the day but you can expect a visually lit view in the evening. The service is good and the waiting time is not that high. Also, the staff is very cordial and helpful in picking the right dishes.  Now that you have got a ...

Romeo Lane - Juliet is missing.

Image
Romeo Lane - Valentine's Special As the name suggests, it's a romantic restaurant. But, it's not exclusively for the couples as the sitting space is divided into a cosy dim-lit indoor sitting and a beautifully furnished and decorated outdoor sitting. The outlet is just outside the Civil Lines metro station (if you're avoiding the Delhi traffic). Considering that we went in the winters, outdoor was our preferred choice plus natural lighting for photos.  The seating capacity is pretty decent easily covering a big party or small get together. The ambiance inside and outdoor are completely contrasting, both in a good way. The music selection was pretty good which can easily make you groove while you're waiting for the food to arrive. The staff was very unprofessional and untrained. They didn't even bother to offer us a menu or a simple glass of water on their own. Also, we faced a few hiccups with our orders. The prices on the menu were on the higher end if compare...

Daryaganj - Legacy of 1947

Image
Daryaganj - By the Inventors of Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani Daryaganj is not just another restaurant in the lanes of Connaught Place. Let's take you back to where it all started. Kundan Lal Jaggi started it in 1947 in Daryaganj after the partition. The spices he used, made his dal makhani and butter chicken a legacy on its own. He hosted many politicians and renowned people of his times. A wall dedicated to this. This restaurant is a tribute to his legacy and an attempt to preserve the authenticity of the taste of that era. That's a brief overview, I guess you can check the long story on their website.  We'll just start with our own dining experience now. So, the ambience gives you a pretty bright and soothing kind of a feeling the minute you enter the place. I personally loved the open bricked wall look on one end and mirror on the opposite end. They have very comfortable seating to sit back and go down the 1947 lane. The old songs playing in the background just takes ...

Molecule, Sector - 29, Gurgaon

Image
Chemistry Lab or Chemical Brewery? Having covered a lot of brewery in Sector-29, Gurgaon,  I can surely say that Molecule is one of the good ones. As the name hints, you can expect pretty lighting with Molecules structure ceiling, a huge bar counter with their own brewery and a huge space spread across 2 floors -  one with inside sitting and one with a rooftop. If you're a cricket/football fan then this place has got you covered with big projector screens. Neon lights and hip captions light up the place very beautifully.  We went at a time where we could capture the beauty of this place at natural light and the fancy lights that made the place more magical. I think after building all the hype you must be wondering how the food was. Otherwise it’s just a waste of time right? Well, here you go. We started off with some Drinks – We tried these 4 Mocktails - Caribbean tall, Toasted Coconut, Tom yum Mist, Delhi Summer. If you don’t drink cocktails or alcohol then...
