The Phi Phi Way!

Straight from the Mountains to Phi Phi.
Phi Phi!

Planning a trip takes a lot of time, right?

Hotels.

Flights.

Leaves from office. (Most Important one)

Itinerary.

Too much to Do!

So, in the spirit of the moment, we just booked the Flight tickets randomly.

And that’s how the First International Trip was planned!

Arrival at the Airport!

After 4 hours of flying and 2 hours in the Visa-on arrival line, we entered the Bangkok City. It was like a breath of fresh air! And the scene outside the airport was similar to a Fast and Furious scene. The taxi stand filled with Pink, Orange, Green and Yellow taxis, all waiting to block the road and start drifting.

Pingu was more tired than us!

But we wanted to get a feel of the public transport, so we opted for the Airport metro followed by bus to reach our Hotel. There we were, enjoying the beauty around us, the cloud formations, the big Buildings, the ultra-long Billboards and the super fit people of Bangkok. The Metro is similar to the one we have in Delhi.

Life in a Metro!

On our Way!

One thing I noticed about the people here was that they were never in a hurry to reach their destination. They follow lane driving and don’t honk. AT ALL! If you want to go ahead, then GO NOWWW! The people here are VERY polite.

The Bangkok View!

Thailand is filled with variety of flavors, be it, the view, drinks or snacks. But it’s quite difficult for Vegetarian people to find some food here. So, for them they have departmental stores like 7-Eleven. They were a life saver for us. You have huge varieties in the drinks section that you can go crazy already. One such drink was Kato, which had flavored jelly pieces inside. This drink was somewhat different from others.

The Variety!

KATO!!

We roamed around only the nearby places, not wanting to exhaust ourselves on the very first day. So, our Bangkok stay was more of a relaxed kind of a stay, just to settle down and let the feeling sink in. Next day, we had an early flight to Krabi. Krabi is one such offbeat destination which should be on your Bucket list if you want to explore something different. But this post is not about KRABI, it’s about some other adventurous place.

Time to fly to Krabi.

From Krabi, we took a ferry to Phi Phi Island (2 hours). We sat on the Deck because sitting inside was so boring. The ferry started and soon we were surrounded by water everywhere. That view was not to be missed. Soon, it started drizzling but we were too lazy to miss out on the mood swings of the weather so we decided to stay on the Deck. After enjoying the weather, we reached our destination. PHI PHI ISLAND!

Ferry Time!

Layers of Clouds!

The Island was filled with Motor boats, Ferries, Speed Boats. Luckily the Hotel that we booked was less crowded and we got a private beach feeling from our Room view.

Speed Boats!

Our Private Beach!

After having our lunch, we headed to the famous View point. It was a 2 km walk, but we took a longer and somewhat tiring route (That was unintentional). From the Top, you could see an H-type formation of land surrounded by water, the same kind of view you see in the Postcards. It was BEAUTIFUL!

The View Point!

Me with the View Point!

After being mesmerized by the view, we went back to the market, had dinner and bought some postcards and souvenirs for the memories. One Interesting thing about this place was that the party mode starts as soon as the sun sets. The island was filled with beach parties (Free Entry) and the atmosphere was very thrilling.

The Sun Setting!

Next day, we hired a personal boat to explore the surroundings of Phi Phi Island. The highlight was Snorkeling. After doing Scuba diving in Andaman Island, I thought Snorkeling would be a cake walk but sadly it wasn’t. It took me a while to adjust and then entered the stunning Marine life. The second you put your head inside the water, the fishes are there right in front of you (just like in a 3D movie). You want to touch them but you can’t get hold of them. I wanted to stay there for a while and enjoy the beautiful fishes moving around me, but then it started raining and we had to head back.

Time for Snorkeling!

Pingu. Our Instructor!

And with this Adventurous boat ride, I ticked Snorkeling off my Bucket list. After heading back, we stayed on our private beach for a while and enjoyed the tides, clicked some pictures of the beautiful setting, collected some seashells and at last, said Goodbye to the lovely Phi Phi Island.

The Anchor of Time!

BYE BYE PHI PHI!

After taking the ferry we arrived to our next Destination. KRABI !! (wait for the next post ;) )
