Junkyard, Or is it?



CP is the heart of Delhi. Hence it's surrounded with a great variety of places to sit and dine or just dance. One such place is this - The Junkyard Cafe. They have another outlet in Saket (Check my Blog). Although I liked the interiors of Saket outlet much better but still this is worth a visit. The unique thing about this place is that all the material used for decorating the place is prepared out of junk.
 
 
 
The tires, machinery, big oil cans and the most amazing attraction is the airplane with junkyard written all over it. The ambience is so appealing that it took me a while to choose a spot and sit there. On one side we have a big bar setup and in the middle there is a big projector screen with music playing in the background. The seating space is very comfortable for everyone. Enough talking, now lets get to the food section.
 
 
Drinks
 
  • Citrus Mart - If you need a refresher drink to relax yourself and calm yourself then don't pick this drink. It'll wake you up right away. All the citrus fruits blended into one glass. This how I like my drink.
  • Hazelnut and Butterscotch Shake - Two of my favorite things in one shake. It would have been perfect if it was thicker.
  • Peanut Butter Shake - Not a big fan of peanut butter shake. And this tasted just fine. Nothing fancy.
  • Vanilla Coffee - I don't know why we ordered this one. This was just ordinary.

Food
  • Belgian Fries - Nothing Belgian about it. Just your regular fries with a cheesy dip.
 
  • Chicken Wings with peri peri sauce - The peri peri sauce did wonders. Delicious.
 
  • Dahi Kebab Twisters - Melts into your mouth right away. Need I say more? 
 
  • Achari Malai Paneer Tikka - The softest paneer tikka I have ever had. Sweet and achari at the same time.
 
  • Chicken Schezwan Dimsums - Light and yummy dimsums served with sauce.
 
  • Tex Mex Nachos - Cheesy nachos with sour cream and hot sauce. The best snack ever!
 
  • Achari Paneer, Red Chilli with Veggies Pizza - Thin crust pizza loaded with paneer and veggies. Perfect main course.
 
Dessert
  • Chocolate Jalebi - Jalebi with chocolate and rabri on top. Always a delight.
 
  • Brownie Sundae - My favorite dessert of all time. Soft brownie with vanilla ice cream on top and caramel popcorn. YUM!
 
Service
 
It was a Sunday afternoon and the place was crowded already. It was under staffed which made the service very slow.
 
Overall
 
If you have visited a lot of places in CP just like me and want a change, then do give this place a visit. The ambience will just delight you.

The Weekend Wine & More, Noida

  Weekend or not, Date is Sorted! Are you a fan of luxurious interiors, perfect lighting and fine dining? Then you can continue reading this blog. If not, still give it a read and let me know if you were convinced later. Garden Galleria Mall is loaded with Clubs, lounge, Microbreweries, restaurants and what not. But the highlight for this outlet is their visually appealing interiors and the fine dining touch is top notch.  The place is so huge that it will take you a couple of minutes to select where you want to sit (too many options to choose from). The music and live DJ complemented it as well. They have super cozy seating in one corner for your date and long sofas and comfortable chairs for partying with friends or family. Welcome to the Frenzone!

FRENZONE (IT'S A TRAP) FrenZoneD! Another café setup just at the start of the famous "Satya Niketan" lane. The name of the outlet can repel you but the ambience wouldn't. It's a small café which can cater to around 30-35 people at a time. A well lit place with paintings on the right side and beautiful design on the left. They also have a projector screen for your entertainment while you are waiting for your friends (I did).  DRINKS We started it off with Shakes and Mock tails: Red Velvet Cake Shake - Thick Shake with Red velvet crumbs coming in your mouth. A delight for Red Velvet lovers. Red Velvet Virgin Mojito - Very few manage to mess this basic drink. Thankfully, they didn't. The taste was strong with fresh leaves and lemon on the top. Mr. Virgin Mojito!
