Bombay Bar, Rajouri Garden
Dilli going the Bollywood way!
This is one of the latest additions in the lanes of Rajouri Garden. And Man, I was surprised by it. The pretty décor welcomes you along with framed Bollywood Actresses hung on the wall. The ambience is worth watching with hip Bollywood songs in the background. It feels like you've entered a Bollywood party and they have a outdoor seating as well.
Coming to the food, we started off with some Mock tails -
Drinks
- Banana Berry - Apparently Bananas and berries don't like it each other. So, they planned to ruin my drink. Not recommended.
- Last Local - Had a tangy flavor to it. Liked it.
Starters
- Mumbai ka vada pao - I was in love with its presentation. It looked so irresistible that I finished it without wasting any time.
- Pav bhaji - Again, it looked very tempting. The taste complemented the presentation. Delicious!
- Alfredo chicken tikka - Could have been cooked better. Didn't like it.
- Lotus root crispy - This tasted more like honey chili potato. I have had lotus stem earlier and I'm sure it can be prepared in a better way.
- Veg Dimsums - Green dimsums were a sight to see. Very nicely prepared, filled with veggies. Average in taste.
Coming to the Main Course now -
- Parsi dal - nothing fancy about it. Tasted average.
- Bandra butter chicken factory - Butter chicken was quite good. Thick gravy with pieces.
Dessert time
- Firni - Not your usual dessert that is served. It was delicious.
- Kheer - Totally loved the kheer. Reminded me of my childhood days.
- Brownie with vanilla ice cream - Soft and hot. That's enough to make the brownie a good brownie. It was yummy!
Overall
Should be on your list if you like good food, bollywood music and pretty décor.
