Encounter with TAKSIM

TAKSIM, Khel Gaon

Taksim Menu, Reviews, Photos, Location and Info - Zomato

Recently, Ansal Plaza Mall took a 360 degree rotation. Be it Decathlon coming up or new Pubs dominating the place. One of those Pubs is Taksim. The bar is placed on the ground floor, and plenty of seating space is there at the first and second floor. Just when you think it's done, they have an outdoor seating for you to chill and enjoy the weather with beautiful lighting.
  • AMBIENCE
The place is filled with variety of seating to choose from. Coincidentally, it was a Live Music session and the selection of songs sung was amazing. The décor is beautiful, with an innovative Big clock along the stairs, utensils placed on the wall and sketching on the other walls were pleasing to the eye.
The Interiors!
  • FOOD
Coming to the food, we started with the Mock tails -
  • Summer Cyclist - It was a beautiful mixture of Orange and Litchi, complementing each other quite well.
  • The Amrud Masala - A little different from the lot, green chillies mixed with guava and a layer of black pepper on the tip of the glass. I found it a little too spicy.
  • Sporty Lemonade -  Not your regular lemonade but a drink made with Cucumber and mint topped up with Sprite. The best of the lot!

Now it was time for some Appetizers -
  • Dahi ke Sholey - A fried starter made up of bread and yogurt served with green chutney and onions on the side. Tasted quite good.
  • Palak patta ki milly filly Chat - For a chat lover like me, it was delicious. Made up of spinach leaves, curd and mint chutney.
  • Feta stuffed sweet potato Patty - Sweet potato stuffed with feta and dressed with yogurt, pomegranate and chutney on top. The presentation was very appealing but it tasted just fine.
  • Anda Pav - A Soft pav stuffed with omelet and onions. A decent starter.

The Appetizers!

Now the table was set for the Main Course -
  • Penne Pasta - Mixture of white and red sauce served with garlic bread. Worth recommending.
  • Cottage Cheese Fenugreek - The Presentation was amazing. Paneer dipped in gravy with cashew nuts and onions. It tasted so yummy.
  • Lovely Daal - As the name says, it was a lovely black daal indeed.
  • Assorted Indian Breads - Normal, a little spicy and too spicy. They had it all in their collection.
The Main Course!

After filling our stomach to the peak, we still made some space for the Desserts (Yes, there's always room for Desserts) -
  • Plain Cheese Cake - Not much to explain here. Just a good desert to start with and full marks for the presentation.
  • Banoffee Pie - The pie was dressed with coffee powder and cream on the top. A little different from the lot which should be given a fair chance to surprise you.
  • Blueberry Cheese Cake - Cake with whipped cream in the middle and blueberry liquid n the top. Can it get any better? Undoubtedly the winner for the best dessert.
The Desserts!

Overall - The place matches up in all aspects. Definitely worth visiting!!
