NAWABI FOOD FESTIVAL

Ambience!

You must have been to Ardor 2.1 for partying or a get together on their 2nd floor, but they also have Fine dining at their 1st floor. This time it was the Nawabi Food Festival that attracted me to the outlet. The décor tries to match with the Nawabi look. I personally liked the face swiping on the posters (specially Mr. Bean). It's a well spread area with seating enough for 30-35 people.

  • FOOD
One thing common in their Menu was that every item had a Nawabi prefix to it.

DRINKS
  • Nawabi Thandai - Welcome drink served. Loved the Thandai (with Rose petal placed on it).
Thandai!
  • Nawabi Aam Panna - Aam Panna wasn't tangy enough. Maybe it was because of the strawberries added to it.
Aam Panna!
  • Seb Santra Usba Khass - This was one Hatke drink which I liked. Tanginess, sweetness, thickness - everything could be felt in this one.
Very khass Drink!
  • Paan Gul - It's a no brain teaser that it had Paan flavor to it. Served with Ice cream on top, it was rather drinkable. But not the best!

STARTERS
  • Mutton Galouti Kebab - Looked very attractive, but turned out to be a disappointment. Tasted just average. Not the softest Galouti kebab I've had.
Not so soft Galouti Kebab!
  • Paneer Tikka Tilla - The usual soft paneer tikka. No description required.
Paneer Tikka!
  • Tandoori Mushroom - Stuffed mushrooms but a little hard to chew. Didn't like it at all.

MAIN COURSE
  • Dal Tadka - My only question, who adds dry fruits and pomegranate to Dal? I didn't like the presentation or the taste. Personally, I'll not recommend this to anyone.

Weird Dal!
  • Dal Shahi Makhmali - My favorite Dal Makhni was still better than the former one. Thick gravy is all I need in a Dal Makhni and I got that.
 Dal Makhni!
  • Nargisi Kofta - Fried Eggs prepared with spicy gravy. Liked this dish.
Nargisi Kofta!
  • Tawa Subzi Takatak - Kind of a Veg Korma - all sorts of veggies with dry fruits used as a dressing. Tasted quite average.
Sabzi Takatak!
  • Nawabi Sabz Pulao - Again, dry fruits all over the Pulao. I guess Nawabs liked dry fruits in every dish. Not recommended!

DESSERT

After all the Nawabi food, I could manage only one dessert.
  • Shahi Tukda - Thankfully, it tasted amazing. Shahi tukda never lets you down.

  • SERVICE
The staff was very polite and the service was rather quick. Preparing our meal on time and serving it nicely. Satisfied with the Service team.

  • OVERALL
A Nawabi Food Festival where you get plenty of variety in their menu. But choose your options wisely is all I can say!
